People Experience & Strategy Lead

We’re seeking a thoughtful, proactive People Experience & Strategy Lead to help shape the heart of bunny.net as we scale. This role goes beyond policies and paperwork; it’s about building the human foundation of a bold, global company that moves fast and thinks big.
You’ll report directly to our COO and lead our People function to ensure a consistent, connected, and compliant employee experience across borders. We treat the employee journey like a product: from the first “hello” in the hiring process to onboarding, growth, and everything in between, and you’ll be the one making that experience awesome. What will you do?
- Lead the People function at bunny.net to meet the needs of a fast-scaling, remote-first team, including People, Talent, and Culture
- Define the People strategy and own the OKRs, ensuring they align with company-wide goals and tracking progress across all People initiatives
- Design and roll out our performance management program, from structure and communication to implementation and coaching
- Partner with Finance and the COO to plan and run compensation calibration cycles
- Manage and mentor the People team, supporting their development while ensuring efficient execution of key workflows
- Create and run a top-tier onboarding experience that’s remote-first, human-centered, and scalable
- Maintain accurate employee records, compliant contracts, and alignment with employment regulations across all our operating countries
- Optimize existing People processes for clarity, compliance, and experience quality
- Build scalable programs that put people first: supporting engagement, development, and well-being in a fast-growing, remote-first environment
- Support managers and leaders with tools, coaching, and frameworks that help them build high-performing, engaged teams
- Monitor the People data that matters, and use it to drive the People strategy and decisions with impact
What will you bring?
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced tech startup, either:
- Managing a People team at a company size <100, or
- Being a key IC in a People team scaling beyond 150 employees
- A track record of designing and implementing high-impact people programs, from onboarding to performance reviews
- A structured and action-oriented approach, with the ability to zoom out and see the bigger picture
- A data-driven mindset to measure success and continuously improve
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across all levels of a company
- Skilled in using remote work tools and platforms
What will make us extra happy?
- Knowledge of Slovenian and/or European labor laws
- Experience driving DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) initiatives and embedding them in company culture in a tailored approach
- Certification in HR or People Operations (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD, HRCI)
- Familiarity with OKRs or other goal-setting frameworks
- Experience working at a fast-growing Series B/C start-up
