CDN Support Engineer II
As a CDN Support Engineer II, you'll play a critical hands-on role in supporting customers across our blazing-fast global network, built with over 150 Tbps of capacity and 119+ edge locations worldwide.
At bunny.net, support engineers encounter one-of-a-kind and demanding situations daily, as each support request is distinct. This role is ideal for someone familiar with bunny.net’s offerings or who has worked in a similar CDN, networking, or edge computing environment. You’ll help solve real-time technical issues, guide users through complex troubleshooting, and contribute to the positive reputation that earned us 1,100+ five-star reviews.
Working hours:
Fixed shift: 4 a.m. – 12 p.m. UTC (Ideally, this aligns with your daytime hours, but night owls are welcome too.)
What will you do?
- Handle technical support requests from customers and internal teams through Zendesk and Discord, with speedy communication and effective resolutions.
- Troubleshoot a wide range of application-layer networking problems commonly seen in CDN environments—from cache behavior and SSL problems to DNS misconfigurations and performance bottlenecks.
- Keep an eye on network health, identifying and resolving availability or delivery issues before they escalate.
- Work closely with our Engineering and Product teams to address bugs, share customer insights, and ensure a smooth CDN experience.
- Continuously improve how we support customers by suggesting workflow changes, tooling improvements, or content updates.
- Stay current with CDN technologies and edge computing trends, sharing knowledge that helps level up the whole team.
- Contribute to internal docs and customer-facing guides to make common solutions easy to find and understand.
What will you add?
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the CDN industry.
- Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and web protocols like SSL/TLS.
- Good understanding of core concepts such as DNS, video-on-demand (VOD), DDoS protection, and load balancing.
- Confident using tools like curl, traceroute, MTR, and other diagnostics to troubleshoot issues.
- Awareness of security best practices and how they apply to CDN operations.
- Customer-centric attitude and strong problem-solving skills—you love helping people fix things.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
- Clear, effective written and spoken communication in fluent English.
