Software Engineer - (C#/Backend)

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Middle Software Engineer to help develop and improve the core backend systems that power key services like authentication, billing, and API infrastructure at bunny.net - The Content Delivery platform that truly Hops! . You'll be contributing to the scalability, security, and performance of the platform, collaborating with senior engineers while growing your expertise in distributed systems.

What will you do?

• Develop and maintain backend services and internal APIs with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Work on authentication and billing features under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Integrate 3rd-party APIs to support product features.
• Participate in efforts to reduce abuse and improve system stability.
• Support the evolution of backend systems toward modular, service-based architecture.
• Contribute to improving the availability and fault-tolerance of APIs.

What will you add?

• At least 2 years of experience with backend development in C# and .NET.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
• Experience working with relational databases such as MariaDB.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (GitHub Actions, Grafana).
• A collaborative mindset and ability to deliver independently on well-scoped tasks.

What will make us extra happy?

• Experience with time series databases like InfluxDB or Clickhouse
• Understanding of secure authentication systems (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect).
• Exposure to billing or payment systems.
